When I paid $100 for this "my book" piece of junk I thought it would solve my problem not make it worse. It seemed like it was working at 1st but later kept sending me to thier site to get "buy" thier program to backup my data, hmmm isn't that why I bought it in the 1st place; I don't want to buy something again when I thought I already had it. Well I am short on pateince these days so I pulled the thing apart only to find the connections didn't match mine, IDE. Well, through this site and newegg (pictures) I now know its a SATA hard drive. YA!!! So I found I can get a SATA to IDE converter, YA, and delete the old junk and make this my new drive. I will stop at the local PC store and see if they carry one. If this doesn't work I know I have a sata HD and don't have to buy one for my new build so I'll have an add'l $75 saved on the new build. I'm guessing if you can build a PC you could figure how to get it apart but there's a link just the same. Hope this helps some one.
