Right now I have a small form factor case. (Acer Aspire L100)

Is it wise for me to reuse the mobo and components in a larger case? Is it even possible?

I don't know how to find out what kind of Mobo is actually in it.

To find out the motherboard size, either ask Google or get a tape measure out and compare it to this handy list from Wikipedia:
