Hello,
I almost feel silly asking this question, but I feel I need other opinions.
I have moved my home automation server from a Intel Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz with 3Gb RAM over to a Atom 330 Dual 1.6 with 2gb RAM this weekend.
I just moved the Hard disk over so its not a clean install of XP or anything.
But, to my surprise, the Atom seems much faster than the Xeon. I was not expecting this - I was expecting to compromise performance for power savings.
Is the Atom a more capable processor than the Xeon 2.8Ghz?
Thanks for any advice
Jon
