I refer to the above discussion on this site. I almost have the same problem. :confused:My pc has SATA and IDE harddrives. I want to install windows on my SATA drive but the xp disk does not detect my harddrive. In my BIOS it does show. It is as follow:
IDE Channel 0 Master - None
IDE Channel 0 Slave - None
IDE Channel 2 Master - ST386811 (SATA Harddrive)
IDE Channel 3 Master - ATAP(DVD ROM)
IDE Channel 4 Master - (WDC WD25) (SATA Harddrive)
IDE Channel 5 Master - None
I have unplugged my IDE Harddrive to see if it makes a difference. If I plugin my IDE Harddrive it show at the "IDE Channel 0 Master "
Can I use the method discussed to make my SATA drive show at "IDE Channel 0 Master"?
