Well, it depends on your needs. The UD5 and EVGA have dual gigabit LAN ports as opposed to the single port offered by the UD4P. The UD5 is also the only board which can support full 3-way SLI at PCI-e x16 - the other boards have two slots at x16 and one slot at x8.

The two Gigabyte boards also allow a maximum of 24GB of RAM whilst the EVGA board only supports up to 12GB. UD5 has 10 SATA ports, EVGA has 9, UD4P has 8. Gigabyte boards are also generally better overclockers. Finally, the EVGA offers support for four front panel USB ports as opposed to the two supplied with the Gigabyte boards, but all three have eight rear USB ports.

So, to summarise, if you are going to be rocking 3-way SLI at any point, or have loads and loads of hard drives or DVD drives, then go for the UD5 for the best performance. If you are more interested in aethetics or have a case with lots of front panel USB ports, go for the EVGA board. But in your case, I would recommend the UD4P because it offers pretty much the same as the others but for $50 less.

Hope that is enough detail for you. :)

Thank you so much for the speedy response, i think i will go with the UD4P that was what i was thinking before

im not even sure i really know what a 3-way SLI is?? is that 3 video cards??

and between the UD5 AND THE UD4P will i notice any difference in sound quality/need to buy a seperate sound card?

The UD5 and UD4P have the same sound devices, so there should be no difference in sound quality. You shouldn't need a separate card unless you are a real audiophile, so just give the built in stuff a try as you can always buy an external card if you need to.

3-way SLI is three video cards linked together to provide highly enhanced graphics capabilities in games. Only really useful if you are playing Crysis on a 30" monitor, to be honest. :)

aweseom, well, now i guess this is a little off subject, but i do plan on playing Crysis and Call of Duty, i will be using a 21.5" HDMI monitor, since i will only be doing a big computer build like this once, do you think the EVGA GTX 275 is enough to handle everything i want? or should i get two of these? or the 285 or 295?

For that size monitor, the GTX275 would terrific. I noticed the EVGA275 Superclocked at Newegg is $230 after rebate. That's the lowest price on that card since it was released.

Wow, that is a fantastic price for an excellent card.
