Performed the flash BIOS update on my Asus Socket A board, straight from the Asus site. Everything went well, got all the correct prompts and messages, yet upon rebooting, the same previous version is still there. Tried it again, and again, all went well again each time, yet no update.
Mainly trying to get my Athlon XP 3000 going on it, it shows in the BIOS if I go in and change the MHz settings, but then it will not boot into Windows. Was hoping the BIOS update would cure this, as it states it should, but no go on the mobo.
