SLI/Crossfire

I need help understanding. I recently purchased a combo set up on eBay. All items are new. Motherboard GA-MA78GM-S2HP, mem CORSAIR T CM2X1024- 6400EST SPECS, cpu Athlon 6000+ and finally the gpu PNY 9600GT SLI.

OK, so... looks good but what of the SLI card w/ an ati motherboard???? Can I, in fact, insert the SLI card onto this board?

SLI is not possible on that motherboard. It sounds like you have a 9600GT card that is SLI capable. If you only have one video card, then it will work just fine.
