Living in the past with all Socket A hardware, I was checking Ebay for an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard just a few days ago. One auction was winding down, and much to my suprise, the board wound up going for over $132!!! I doubt it cost that much back in the day, and this board was used, albeit in good shape. So, I started digging into Socket 754 stuff, totally new for me, and this is already obsolete as well. But, I was able to gather up an MSI KN8 (new) 754 board, new Athlon CPU (3200+), and CPU fan, all from different sources, and all for a combined parts cost (not counting shipping) less than the Socket A board I had been watching by itself.
