I was just wondering what everyone thought of Norton Systemworks 2004 and Norton internet secturity. Norton products worked on our old pentuim 2 pretty well, so just trying to figure out if they have stayed with their reliablity.

The only thing that I can complain about is that it slows down your system. My subscription just expired, so I will try AVG free version and as firewall i will use Windows firewall.

I have used lots of different AntiVirus software, and I must say that Norton is definitely good. My current favourite is Nod32 though, as that has a much smaller footprint than Norton.

It's great people are recommending AVG. I saw their ad in the latest PC World and was curious to know if they were any good. I think I'll give them a try in my next system.

AVG

Pro:

Uses low ram and cpu
FREE~!!!!!!

Cons:

Horrible trojan horse detection rate of 65% using a 1 month old virus def

Recommed to ppl who don't download "stuff":D

Edit:

Last of all, it's honest... My friend had it, and when he did a full system scan, it detected itself as a virus and Gave him the adive of uninstalling
