I recently completed my build with all the hardware outlined in My Super Computer.

Here is my build:
Antech 900 Case
Antech neopower 650 watt power supply
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 with Fan
Crucial Ballistix 1024MB PC2-8500 DDR2 (4 gig)
EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB DDR3
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200rpm SATA 300 MB/s (32mb cache)
Plextor PX-850 SA DVD + - RW
Sabrent card reader

After completing the build and booting the computer, all went well. Prior to installing the operating system, I ran Memtest 86+ overnight. In the morning, there were 2 errors saying the following.

Tst: Test number 4, pass 4
Failing address: 00042009bd8 - 1056.5mb
Good: cfa6960f
Bad: cfa6d60f
Err-Bits: 00004000

Tst: Test number 4, pass 14
Failing address: 000c3101bd8 - 3121.0mb
Good: c57a9eb3
Bad: c57adeb3
Err-Bits: 00004000

I ran again later in the day and 1 error as follows:
Tst: Test number 4, pass 2
Failing address: 000c0b65bd8 - 3083.3mb
Good: 02576acd
Bad: 02572acd
Err-Bits: 00004000

They are all with test 4. Any suggestions? Bad Ram? Something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Roger

Interesting. I've never encountered a failure with it. I see you purchased Crucial memory. Good move. I suggest contacting their technical support with the result and see what they say. Please keep us posted on how it turns out.

I ended up testing each stick of RAM individually and found a bad stick. It failed test 4 most of the time, but on occasion test 6. I will be RMAing it. Thanks.
