View Full Version : Antec 300 - no system speaker connector?

Hi

I am half way through my first build:

Antec 300 case
Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard
Intel core 2 quad Q8200
4GB RAM

In my motherboard manual it talks about connecting a system speaker connector to the motherboard so I can hear the system beep. However my case does not seem to have a connector of this type. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for the Antec 300, and whether it matters that I don't have a connector? Is this going to be a problem?

Thanks

I just built a system too with an Antec 900 case and found the same situation unless of course I'm missing something. It was the first thing I realized when doing my first boot no post up beep. I looked further into the motherboard and there is certainly a connection on the board but I found that there is no lead for this function in the Antec case. I thought that somewhat wierd but quite honestly I expected more from such a big name case company. Please if anyone knows something I don't let me know what I missed.
