Seems I've got the green light from my darling wife for a new system as she knows racing online keeps me off the streets and out of trouble so here is what I'm looking to build. I'd appreciate any input to reduce cost without performance loss and if there is anything in this build that isn't right or could be better without adding to the cost. Thanks in advance.

That is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for that video card.

This looks like a much better deal.

Thank you for saving me a few dollars, at this point a penny saved is a penny earned.

I also forgot a sound card for my system. As I mentioned in my OP I race online, http://www.iracing.com/ and I need a card that supports Vista of course. I'd prefer to keep the cost below 50 dollars. I specifically use a headset and boom mic and like the realistic sound of racing. I occasionally listen to music online and would like decent quality. I'd consider using the old card but not an option based on the OS I need to run with this build. Any suggestions out there?
