Howdy, I'm new to this. I got all the suggested parts to put together my super computer. Everything seems to be going fine. I got to the part about checking and setting the BIOS. None of the documentation that I could find seems to fit the X48-DS4 BIOS. I set it the best I could figure but would feel better if I had your list of settings for this mother board. Do you have a listing for this mother board? Maybe I just overlooked it or did not find it. Thanks!

Hi:

No, sorry, I don't have it posted. For the most part I used the default settings (the default optimized, I believe). For the SATA hard drives I used the legacy IDE setting since I'm using Windows XP. That way no extra drivers are needed and the performance difference is negligible to using them as true SATA drives.

Many of the settings for the GA-X48-DS4 are similar to what I have posted for other motherboards, so those pages should be a help.

As Rob suggested, just selecting the optimised defaults will get your PC up and running.
