alrite my new motherboard has 4 sata locations, i have 1 sata hard drive which i have running on it

it has 1 ide slot and i have a cd drive and a hard drive plugged into that, but what i'm asking is, is it possible i can keep the cd drive and add 2 more hard drives to ide?

do they make cables for such? i have 2(160 gb, 250 gb) that are bursting with personal files and writings and was hoping for a way to not have to junk them or overfill my sata hd

possible to make them external? I don't know.

Unfortunately, you can only have two IDE devices per slot - one master and one slave.

However, thanks to the wonders of modern technology, you can buy external HD enclosures that allow you to plug the HD into a USB slot. For example:
