Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 vs BIOSTAR TPower I45 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

The MySuperPC site currently recommends the Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 MB for anyone building a PC. I will be building a new one soon, probably this one. I would like to know; 1) if the BIOSTAR TPower I45 LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard is a suitable replacement for the recommended Gigabyte MB; and 2) will the other recommended MySuperPC components (RAM, CPU, Memory, etc.) work with the Biostar MB.

The motherboard you mentioned is a P45 chipset, which is a few generations behind the X48 chipset of the Gigabyte, and so doesn't offer the same performance of the newer board.

Why this board in particular?

I saw some good reviews of the Biostar board on another web site and it's less expensive than the Gigabyte MB. Thanks for the info.
