dual monitors, dual gpu's

if a guy had a dual monitor set up with a 24" and a 19" driven by a GTX260, could he get better gaming performance by adding another lesser gpu in non-sli and hooking the 19" to it?

Not really, no. The best way to increase performance would be to use the 19" monitor instead of the 24" monitor for playing the games. :)
