I was recently looking for micro atx motherboards and one of the reviews for a motherboard stated that the "USB ports overload quickly therefore needs use of an extra usb card" what does he mean by overload. I have two things that I think may be what he means but just to make sure tell me anyways:

Theory 1: He ran out of USB ports for his devices connected via USB

Theory 2: The USB ports themselves couldn't handle the massive amount of data transfer.

Let me know which one you think/know is true. Preferably rob tell me.

I'm pretty sure they are talking about power. The total number of USB devices they have connected are exceeding the amount of power provided on the computer's USB interface. But if this is the case then I would think that a self powered hub would be a better solution.
