Current PC: intel Pent D 2.8 GHZ; 2.99 GB RAM (not sure what type) intel 82945g chipset; running XP. 160 MB Maxtor HD

I am looking to upgrade (or buy if you suggest) to a quiet, noticeably faster (multitasking, boot up) with good graphics for my son to play the latest games. I can't spend a fortune but what would you recommend? Is there an advantage to having 2 hard drives? Can I overclock my CPU (without overheating?) to get noticeably faster? How would I do it? I just don't want to pay for Windows, hard drive or dvd+/- rom again if I don't have to. I am not sure what my current video board is but I think it's rather basic (plays some of the newer games and has a TV tuner that I never use. I found a pretty good deal @ PCUSA.com. Here it is. I look forward to any advice.

A couple of things stand out.

The case seems to come with a power supply, yet another psu is listed right below it.

Running 2 hard drives can have advantages, but I don't see it with those 2 hd's. I prefer 1 large drive and partition it.

6 gb of ram. That's rather odd too.

The processor and video card are nice, and will play all newer games at very high settings (except Crysis)

There is no operating system listed. That's unusual for a pre-built system.

You can build a better/faster pc yourself for less money. That's exactly what this website is intended for. Browse around here at Rob's instructions and decide if its something you feel comfortable doing.

Especially since the MotherBoard has a 4Gig max.
