i'm currently runing a radeon hd 4850. if i add a second 4850 in crossfire,
will both cards run off the same driver? does it matter which card gets the monitor atached? if runing 2 monitors, should they each be on a different card?

Both cards will use the same Catalyst driver, and you can run a maximum of 2 monitors. As for where you plug each monitor in, it doesn't really matter. :)

Crossfire just increases your GPU power. Each HD 4850 should have two DVI ports, so you can run two monitors with just one card. I think it would be better to have both monitors on one card, but I don't crossfire so I don't know too much.

From what I have just read lol, board dodging college work, if you run crossfire, you can only run 1 or 2 monitors at tops. If you have two video cards non crossfire, then you can run 4 monitors =crazy.

Hope this helps, I know monkey basically hooked you up.
