I hope this is in the right forum. I was wondering if I could get some input and confirm that I've match the parts correctly.

If I were to buy two of these HD's and have them stripped would I need anything else, like a controller?

I believe the components you list are compatible.

As for the hard drives, probably the motherboard already comes with everything you need for RAID.

thanks Rob!

per another review it was mentioned to skip the Quad Processor... saying it wasn't required for gaming... today's games won't use it.

It was also mentioned to match the manufacturers for warranty purposes in case one fried the other.

A different ram was also suggested... 1600 rather then PC800... (I thought the MB would only use 800)

would you agree with those suggestions as well?

Yes, it's true games aren't taking full advantage of multi-core processors - yet.

For buyer protection, I recommend buying your components with the American Express Blue card.

Do you mean PC2 8000 DDR2 RAM? Motherboards often support this speed.
