I am trying to install a hard drive on my amd athalon computer (1992 model).
I have one gray wire that came loose...that may or may not be my problem. I replaced it in the section where your faq shows the 5 wires going. I tried turning it both ways...no difference. It may not even go there.
Here is the long error sequence I get:
trap: 0000000D GP Fault
Tr = 0028 cr0= 00000011 cr2=00000000 cr3=00000000
cs: eip=008:00420150 ss:esp- 0010:00061fec
errcode=13c0
flags 00010016 no cyl no zr intdis down trapdis
eax=0000114 ebx=004013b1
ecx=00001618 edx= 534d0040 ds= 0010 es=0010
edi=0047164f esi=00051d68
ebp= 00016ff0 cr= 00000011 fs=0030 gs=0000
The above is after the memory test, the failed floppy drive, the list of all attached hard drives (3) & dvd read write drive.
I have 1 gig of memory, and using Win Xp sp2.
Any ideas?
I think the motherboard may be gone. All was fine until my GDat decided she didn't like being locked out of the system...which is why I ordered a 3rd drive...the original was having problems after I got back in and fixed what she messed up.
