I am going to build my first pc and would like some feedback/recommendations on the items I am considering. Feedback is appreciated.

Hey Robj. Welcome.

I don't know anything about that case or power supply, but $200 for a psu is rather high, plus 800 watt is overkill.

That's also a lot of money for a motherboard. I great P45 board would cost much less.

The 9800GT is a relabeled 8800GT. It runs kinda hot and loud. See if you can find one that is a dual slot card like the Akimbo version.

Thank-you for the welcome and I have been getting a lot of information from this site, much appreciated. The setup that I attached was a recommendation from the rep on the phone, so that's why I wanted some further advice etc...

As soon as I mentioned that I did game a bit, the rep went straight to the psu(stating it was "really" needed). I will check into the P45 motherboard. Is there a possible negative going with a P45 over the 780i? Recommendation on a high end vid card?

The disadvantage of the P45 is that it doesn't support SLI. However, a strong argument can be made that a single video card is more than adequate to play all of todays games. The benefits of SLI don't always outweigh the increased costs.

There are some great high-end video cards available now that don't cost a fortune. Take a look at the GTX260 core 216, the 9800GTX+, and the ATI 4850 and 4870. All winners.
