SOLVED. Note to self: plug in 4 prong cable from PSU to MB :)

Hi, I am in the process of building my first computer and really have no clue what I got myself into haha. Your help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Here are the specs/parts I am trying to build (with links to newegg for more specs)

MB: ASUS P5E-VM HDMI LGA 775 Intel G35 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131237)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115052)
Case/PSU: Antec Sonata III - ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129024)
RAM: CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184)
Video Card: EVGA 256-P2-N751-TR GeForce 8600 GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130085)

Now I know very little about compatibility of parts and that is my first concern.

The CPU is 1066fsb, but the motherboard is 1333fsb; however, the MB states that it can run 1333/1066/8something so I didn't think this would be an issue. Also, the RAM is not listed as approved ram in the MB's manual, but looks like it should match up.

So assuming the problem is not in compatibility, then here is what I have done so far.

The MB is in the case with the CPU and Fan installed, the graphics card is installed, case fan is plugged in to PSU, front usb stuff is all plugged in. MB is connected to the PSU

So the problem is when I boot up, all the fans turn on (CPU, PSU, Case, Graphics Card) but then one second later everything turns off. There is no beep (I have speakers hooked up and turned on). The MB Led is on when I turn the PSU on.

I have tried a few different ram configurations (no ram, 1 stick, 2 stick, different slots) but this didn't change anything.

Also, I have removed the MB battery and did the CMOS refresh/restart, and put the battery back in, but nothing. (does it matter when this is done?)

I really have no idea what is going on and have no clue what to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!
