I want to treat myself to a gaming mouse. Was considering the Logitech MX518. Any comments or recommendations?

Good choice. I love logitech, they make some good quality stuff for a good price. The MX518 itself is a very good choice since wired mice are good for gaming. Got good reviews and ratings on newegg so I'll probably go with that.

I use the MX400, and it is an excellent mouse - very precise movement and very comfortable too.

Nah go with the Logitech G5 laser gaming mouse. 2000 dpi.

45 bucks on newegg.com

I would go for a Razer copperhead. Really excellent mouse :)

The MX518 is the best mouse I've ever owned... even if you don't install the drivers for it (if you do, of course, it will be a lot better).

You can set it to be soo fast and also so slow if you are drawing or something with photoshop. On fast settings it's so insane you gotta get used to it but perfect for FPS.

Whilst we all have different opinions, we can all agree that Logitech is definitely the best choice. :)

Agreed. I was using the Logitech MX510 for 2-3 years I believe. Has to be the best mouse I have ever owned with insane pickup. But today, I am going to upgrade my mouse(since one of the additional buttons on my 510 got stuck from I don't know what, but probably a beverage) to a Logitech MX518, I'll let you know what I think of it, but I don't expect anything short of awesome.

Actually, I've just ordered a Razer Deathadder, so I'll let you know how good that one is too. :)

AWESOME PICKUP

Lol... haha okay it doesn't make me own or anything... but the pickup is incredible like my 510 and also there are some nifty buttons on this thing.
