Hey Guys, this is my first time posting, but i've been doing a lot of reading on this site checking out everyone elses rigs and whatnot.

As the topic states, I need help building a new gaming PC.
My previous one's videocard burnt out (Nvidia 7600 GT fan stopped working, realized a little to late >.<) and i figured it was time for a complete overhaul.

I'm way more of a software guy than hardware guy.
I dont know much about the hardware aspect.
I mean, I can put computers together and all that, but I have no idea what to look for for getting more bang for my buck in terms of hardware choices.

My Budget is about $1,200 (w/o monitor lets say)

Mainly, I play Final Fantasy 11, which, even on my old comp, i could run on max and registry tweaks to really max out the gfx. Its an older game so its not too hard to run on any system.
However, the future looks bright for PC gaming with A lot of new and exciting games coming to PC. So I'd like for this to be in best possible shape. I also have this money put away for exactly this reason so i'm not looking to have any left over.

If anyone could recommend a build or even just single parts it would be a great help. Remember, its just for gaming, all business related stuff goes onto my laptop.
Like I said, i'm not too great with hardware so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Drew.

That's just under $1100. So that gives you about $100 to pick out a case.
Here's my pick for $106

That will be a fantastic computer - Ricky has give some great recommendations there.

Wish everything was as cheap in the UK; the Q9550 is the equivalent of $400 here. :O

Glad to help Drew.

Don't forget to show us pictures when you're done. We like that stuff. :)

This looks like a candidate for a Recommended Build Sticky.
