on my first boot i'm given a 'CPU Fan error' message. The fan is going, but isn't connected to the 4 pin connector on the Asus MB as the upgraded Zalman fan uses a 3-pin connect...could that be causing the message? What should I do? I can hit F1 to continue but don't want to keep dealing with the message.

Thanks,
derek

the plug on the zalman will work on the 4 pin mb connector. the mb connector will accept 3 or 4 pin plugs

thanks Blazer!
So i see that the 4pin works as follows:
CPU FAN PWM
CPU FAN IN
CPU FAN PWR
GND

and the 3pin:
Rotation
+12V
GND

So, CPU FAN IN = Rotation ?
And, what is CPU FAN PWM ?

Thanks for the help!
