I was contemplating Installing Vista 64bit on my current PC that has XP Pro 32bit on it right now.

My Questions:

Is this possible?
Is it possible without losing Programs & Apps?
How to?
Any other options?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade from XP-32 to Vista-64 - you have to do a clean install. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as a fresh install will clean out all of the unneccessary stuff that you have accumulated over the years, so your computer will probably run faster.

I know that it is a pain, but it is definitely worth doing the fresh install. Just make sure that you download all the appropriate drivers and software and store them somewhere safe before doing the install - nothing is worse than doing a fresh install and then finding that you need to download your network drivers from the internet.
