Hi all!

I'm looking at putting together my first tower and I really want to make sure all the stuff will work fine together. I did have a friend help me out in some of these selections... and would love to hear any of you guys' input.

I did read that the below ASUS p5n mobo might have -room trouble- with having two huge G92s ... and have yet to see if the Wolfdale mixes well with it. Any ideas for another motherboard? The tower looks nice and the 750w power supply seems ample for sli. But anyway the "work-in-progress" is below, and honestly feel free to dismantle this puppy... Thanks for any advice, I certainly need it!

The Seagate HD does have a 5 year warranty, but reports show it to be slightly slower and slightly louder than the Western Digital SE16 640gb.

The 8800GTS 512 is a really great card, and 2 in SLI would be even better. Take a look at the 9800GTX+. A pair of those would be smoking.

Thanks RickyTick! I switched out the two 8800GTS for two 9800GTS+ and found two deals with them... one with Crysis and one with a Thermaltech 750W PSU and also switched the Seagate with that Western Digital SE16.

Looks great.

I just recently finished Crysis. It was a terrific single player shooter. The graphics are amazing. When I first started playing it I almost got a sea-sick feeling because its so realistic. The grass and trees sway in the wind and makes it hard to look at at first. You'll love it.

Just curious, do you think Thermaltake 750w (modular) will be enough power for two 9800gtxs? Also each 9800gtx requires two six pins for power ... and it looks like this one only comes with two six pin cables. I found a Rosewill RX850 (not modular) that comes with enough six pins...but I'm not sure if Rosewill is a safe buy or not. Should I go with a more powerful PSU?

750 watts is plenty. Here's two psu's that would be better choices for your setup.

You guys are a great help! Okay so this might possibly be the finished product on paper....sans dvd drive, mouse, OS, wireless card and etc (all already included in price). You'll notice that I'm doing the Crysis deal twice... figure I'll just put one up for sale on campus here and should go fairly fast. I've been looking at other motherboards but keep coming back to this ASUS p5n-D. I'm pretty sure that the Wolfdale will work fine in it....hah... pretty sure. Oh, and I switched from patriot 2x2 to corsair 2x2 (looked roughly the same... and for about 20 bucks cheaper with a deal).

I'm getting fairly stoked here about purchasing this thing...

You could add a bigger/better cpu cooler if you want to. Its not totally necessary, since your cpu will come with a cooler anyway. Here's some reading material.
