Well its time i jump off the deep end and finally build my first PC. i have enough knowledge to get me in trouble. i know i want to build a micro pc and i want to use an amd cpu. i would like to keep the build to around 500 without an opperating system.
so i know i want to use this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144138

with the price said the use of this pc would be light gaming and possably home theater. what all else would you all recomend.

I wouldn't buy that case if I was you. It looks dangerous for your computer. Find another case with a powersupply with it. Taking into account your budget, i'd probably keep the combined purchase under $150

Light gaming and home theater calls for a quad core processor, but none the less these two seem to be the popular choices for any upgrade:

More then enough for your needs.

Its cheap, so you may as well buy a lot. Just make sure your OS is a 64-bit version.

other stuff i'll post to you when i wake up, lol
