Hey all, i was recently thinking about building a whole new setup but since my current PC is only slightly over a year old i figured id just do some upgrades and built a new one in another year or so.

anyway,
MY setup:
-ASUS P5B Deluxe mobo
-Geforce 7600GT 256mb GPU
-was 2gb RAM but i just upgraded that to 4GB RAM (apprently windows xp 32bit only supports 3...so the other GB is a waste?)
-Core 2 Duo 2.13 CPU
-320gb HDD
-2 - 22x DVD burners
-530watt PSU
-windows xp PRO 32bit

i want to setup up a RAID 0....so, basically, how do i make this happen?

Thanks.

32 bit operating systems usually only recognise about 3GB ram because the other 1GB is usually taken up by the video card. Your extra gig will not be doing anything, so get a 64-bit OS to recognise it, otherwise if you don't need that much memory, simply take it out and store it in a safe anti static bag or into another computer.

If you check out this page, Rob has given some very good instructions for setting up a RAID array:

http://www.mysuperpc.com/build/pc_sata_install_raid_boot.shtml

Your BIOS and RAID setup program will be slightly different, but the general idea is the same.

Remember to back up any important data too, as creating the RAID array will format your HD.

The best thing you can do for that setup is a video card upgrade. Otherwise, I really don't see anything wrong with it.
