Thought this might be as good a place as any to post the specs of my new rig, no pics however atm :(

Foxconn Black Ops motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
EVGA GTX 260 GPU
Corsair Twin3X DDR3 Memory
Coolermaster Stacker 830 case
PC P&C Silencer 750w PSU

Building a new one in a few weeks however with the Asus Rampage motherboard.

The next case I get will probably be a Lian Li - the brushed aluminium looks awesome. :)

Shame I can't afford it at the moment though. XD

Yeah, I think I might as well. Although I will probably end up spending more time just staring at it than using it... XD

One thing Jamie - you can get 2x4850 at £108 each, and these in CrossFire will give a GTX280 a run for its money. :D

That computers already built WM and i am more than happy with the GTX280.

The Cosmos will be for the Asus Rampage motherboard and yes........

It will be ATI powered :D

Personally, I think that unless your running crysis in 1920x1200 high or you're an obssessed frame rate benchmarker, I find it really wasteful to crossfire 4850s/sli gtx280s.

If you were SLi'ing 280GTX's, you would be right.

I don't like SLi or Crossfire, one card is always best.

Moved this to new thread to avoid cluttering the pics thread.

I'm not so sure about SLi and CrossFire being so bad any more, CrossFire especially. The fact that the 4850 is so cheap is really pushing me towards getting two of those instead of buying a single card.

I find it very hard to justify getting a GTX280 when you compare the performance benchmarks and see the price difference between the two solutions.

Of course, you could always get two 8800GTs at £90 each and just laugh away: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-103-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1008&name=XFX%20GeForce%208800%20GT%20Alpha%20Dog%20512 MB%20GDDR3%20HDTV/Dual%20DVI%20(PCI-Express)%20-%20Retail%20(PV-T88P-YDF4)
