This is my first build and I think I might need some tips when installing this stuff. After everything is hooked up in the case and I am going to boot up for the first time. What do I need to do? And how do I set up the motherboard so that it understands what all I have plugged into it? Also, will I need anything else besides the items listed here? Please help if you can and thank you aswell.

Thank you again

You have an Operating System right? Windows Vista or XP?
Install the disc and tell bios to boot from disc. Install OS, then all updates and drivers.

The Artic Cooler you have listed will come with thermal compound. It will work just fine.

Thank you very much for you time and help. I should be getting all of my stuff tomorrow. I hope all goes well. "crossing fingures" by the way everything I have listed above in 100% compatiable right? I thought I made sure it all was unless I missed something. Can you take a look and tell me if you think it will be a good build?

Just make sure the ram is supported by that motherboard.

The power supply is a bit of an overkill, but its no big deal.

Ok, I put the computer together. I had a few miss happs but found out how to fix a few but still have one i can't solve. 1.) I start computer, all fans running but no picture on my monitor nothing shows up. I tested the monitor on my other computer and it works just fine. Does this mean the video card is bad? One other thing. The dvd drive i brought above is it a dvd burner ONLY??

Please help if you can,
Treavor

ok, thank you. Do you have any idea about my problem with the monitor? I reset the jumper. I turned off power first, unplugg power cord, took out battery from board, then switche jumper to 2and 3 for about 20 secs then put jumper back on 1 and 2, put battery back and retried to boot. But I still get no signal from the monitor.

It may be as simple as a Control switch on the monitor (Digital vs Analog, or something like that. Look at the buttons on the monitor and make sure they are set right.

If still no go, try booting with just one stick of ram.

Remove the video card and re-install. Did you remember the 6 pin power connector on the end of the video card?

Treavorbell: I am making this comment late in the process. I assume you know about and are following Rob's "updated build instructions" for systems built around the Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe mobo. At the bottom of the home page for the "new updated build instructions" are the assembly steps including installing XP or Vista. zburns
