Unfortunately, I'm no longer a "graduate." :(

My PC was running for several days, and I thought there were no issues. One day I opened my system properties and found that the system was recogizing only 4GB of the 8gb (4x2GB) in the system. The next day (Saturday), I get a code 52 (and the screen stayed on the XFX boot screen).

This morning, after being gone on vacation for 5 days, I booted to find what errors I was getting. The machine booted right into Windows with no problem.

However... now the system is only recognizing 3GB of RAM.

I've tested the sticks and they work fine in other machines. I'm assuming the frequencies are not set properly in the system setup, but I'm not familiar with changing frequencies, overclocking, etc.

However, after searching for the error code on the Internet, I'm considering getting 6400 memory instead.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that would be the problem. :(

Thank you very much for your help... looks like I'll upgrade to the Corsair 6400 after all :)

I think that its more likely that since you are only using a 32-bit OS, having 8GB of RAM installed is going to cause problems, as you have found out.

Instead of buying lots of new RAM, try installing XP/Vista 64-bit.
