blinking power light during standby/sleep - is this a Vista thing?

My new computer works! Whooohoooo! I'll have to make a post about it later. But there is one that's bothering me. When I switch to sleep mode, the power light blinks very annoyingly. Is this a Vista thing, or a hardware thing?

It's usually a hardware thing, depending on your case and motherboard. The best way to stop it is to just switch your computer off instead of putting it to sleep. :D
