They are both excellent motherboards, so either one will do. I prefer the Gigabyte because it is cheaper, but others swear by the Abit.

I have the IP35 Pro and really like it a lot. It has lots of features, and performs very well. However, I would pick the Gigabyte only because it supports DDR2 1066 ram, and its a good bit cheaper.

Hi iam asking a question here, rather than giving a reply..

I know core 2 rocks...but since i want a good onboard video solution with addin card..iam going for AMD 780G chipset.

So whch mobo i go for ?

I prefer ,

Athlon X2 5600+ 1MB cache

Asus/MSI ? 780G mobo

Please advise on mobo...

BTW..i hope i can use an nvidia card on 780G by disabling the onboard readeon...?
