I really like the Tsunami case you have WM. I didn't dare show a picture of the inside of my pc. It looks like a squirrel nest in there, even with the modular psu. :)

The problem that I have is that I live on the 2nd floor of our flat and our router is on the ground floor. Since I play online games, wireless is pretty unreliable. So I bought a 25m Cat 5E cable, which goes out of my room, down the stairs, along the landing, down some more stairs, accross the front room to our router. :D

Loving the ThermalTake case there Damlite - looks very nice. :)

At some point I will get a proper PC desk as your setups look very clean and smart - mine is kinda haphazard... XD

It was between the Antec 900/1200 and armor+MX, and a full tower would break my desk. The annoying part is all the stock fans come pinned at 12V; the side intake sounds like a microwave so you'd have to reduce it to 7V manually or by getting a 12V to 7V adapter to reduce the noise (temperature wise it barely makes a difference). The case is not as good looking as the soprano DX or your tsunami though :(

Clean setups are gorgeous but also very practical, I actually wanted to get your exactMat as well but it'd be hard to fit it with the keyboard.

first pic is my office. pc1 is a asus a8n-vm csm with a opteron 165 dual core in a antec case with dual samsung 931a 19" monitors and yamaha speakers with subwoofer. brother networked scanner/fax/printer, netgear 8 port router and netgear 5 port gigabyte switch, and a WD 1tb NAS device. this is my work machine.
pc2 is an old gateway p4 i use for filesharing. seagate 750 g and wd 500g externals

I've just done a few upgrades to my PC:

- Installed a second WD Raptor that I got free from my work in RAID 0
- Upgraded my GFX card to an ATI 4850
- Added an extra 2GB of RAM for a total of 4GB
- Bought a new 22" Samsung Red Rose monitor... and it is beautiful :)
- Installed Vista 64-bit

Still need to upgrade CPU and motherboard, but they can wait for the time being.

I made a couple of upgrades too.

I had an EVGA 8800GT card and added the Akimbo dual slot cooler to it and overclocked it to 675/1700/950.

I also purchased an OCZ Vendetta II cooler for my Q6600. Installed it this past weekend and have overclocked the cpu from 2.4 to 3.0 ghz.

WM. So how do you like Vista 64bit? Do you think the extra 2gb of ram made a performance difference?

It does make a noticeable difference when having lots of windows open, but not as much as the striped Raptors do - OS loads lightning fast, and apps install in the blink of an eye.

I haven't had any issues with drivers at all either, but this is probably because I downloaded everything I needed before I installed Vista and stored it on my other HD.

In addition, I've ordered a Zalman VF1000 GPU cooler to combat the terrible cooling on the 4850, and will try some overclocking when that arrives.

Haven't installed any games yet, but I can't wait to play DMC4 and Mass Effect on my new monitor. :D

My system is nearly a year old now. I had several issues at first, but since Vista SP1, all problems have vanished.

I read a review of Mass Effect and I'm looking forward to giving it a try too. If you get it first, let us all know what you think.

Just installed Mass Effect, so will give a mini review asap. :)

Installed the VF1000 and it dropped the idle temps of my 4850 from 78C to 38C. Now, it never goes above 60C under load, even overclocked to 700/1200.
