First time desktop builder. I much appreciate your help.
My setup:
MB: P5K Premium/WiFi-AP (Revision 0504)
CPU: Intel Xeon E3110 Dual Core Processor 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB
RAM: 2 x OCZ DDR2-800 Reaper 2048MB w/ Heatpipe Cooling
CPU Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Graphic card: Asus GeForce 8500GT 256MB Silent w/ HDCP Video Card
HDD: 4 x Seagate 7200.10 250GB SATAII Hard Drive (Model ST3250410AS)
PSU: Antec 550 Watt NeoPower™
Asus 20x DVD-RW Lightscribe SATA ROM
Second CD/DVD Rom: Asus 16X DVD-ROM SATA CD / DVD ROM
OS: Window XP Pro (is not installed yet)
Problem:
All the components have been installed in the case except for OS. Yesterday, I configured 4 Seagate 250GB HDDs as two RAID 0 sets using Intel Matrix Storage Manager to enhance HDD performance. So, my new desktop is ready for installation of Window XP Pro. A RAID driver disk is required when installing Window XP. According to the P5K Premium 's User Guide, I have to create a RAID driver disk using a floopy disk, but I am not going to install a floopy drive in my desktop (I don't like fllopy drive ). There is any alternatives to make a RAID driver disk without using floopy drive? Can I use a USB flash disk or something else? Thank you.
