XP Home to XP Pro

Curious question, currently I have Windows Home Edition XP installed on my work laptop. (Don't bother, I thought I was saving money a couple of years ago)

I need Windows XP Pro to network to our Citrix server.

Question is, by upgrading to Pro, will it act like a complete install of a new xp system? Meaning, it will delete everything. In that case, I couldn't use an upgrade CD, I'd have to buy a full version.

If anybody knows, thanks, I know I could probably find this on the Windows website. But I like coming here and reading up. :)

You can definitely use an upgrade CD, so you don't need to worry there. :)
