Hello guys,
I finished my first build a few days ago and am happy to say everything went really smooth. Here are my specs.

Antec 900
8800 gts 512
p5kc
2 gb corsair xms2
hx520
17" dell crt monitor
zalman 9700

I have had zero issues so far, so i haven't updated the to the latest bios.
I downloaded 3dmark 06 v110 and just ran it without changing anything. Seems you cant change anything with the free version anyway. So anyway, my score turned out to be 9624. This seems a bit low, what do you guys think? Any recommendations for fine tuning? I can only muster an average of about 50-60 fps on crysis with settings on high and 1024 resolution.

link to my results.

Don't put too much emphasis on synthetic benchmarks. If you're getting 50fps in Crysis, you have nothing to worry about.

I don't remember which processor you have, so you could overclock that a bit along with the video card. That would increase your 3dmark scores.

Why overclock just to have bragging rights?

Pay no attention to those scores they are never accurate.

And you say you ONLY get 50-60 FPS in Crysis? you should think yourself lucky you are getting above 30 FPS considering that is the most demanding game that has ever been released and ever likely to be released in the near future.
