I came across your site this morning and added it to my growing folder of favorites on pc building. I just completed my first ever build of a home theater pc and had a few comments on your article on the subject. I have a home theater system and became interested in building an HTPC because of the availability of instant access movies and tv shows on netflix, itunes, etc. and tv shows on most of the major networks. Another attraction was storage of recorded material on my own hard drive in an upgradable machine that I control. I have directv and was forced to keep an older, offline box so I wouldn't lose the material I've recorded. Directv is coming out with a device called the hdpc-20 that will work with an HTPC, thus eliminating the separate box. My point is that there are practical reasons to own a media center pc, now and in the near future, that you might consider incorporating into your article.

Those are good points.
