CMOS error

:confused: Hey Rob it's the slight-crackle-while-installing-CPU-cooling-fan guy again. I'm getting the error 'CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded'. I cleared the CMOS several times. I removed the jumpers along w/ battery (just like motherboard instructions suggested) & I removed just the battery for 30 minutes (like you suggested) and got the same error. I'm writing a message to you in case the problem is related to the "slight crackle" problem.

From what I call from your description, that's normal. After you clear the CMOS and re-boot, you'll get this message. Go into the BIOS and choose the option to Load Failsafe Defaults. Save the settings and let the computer re-boot, and see if the message re-occurs.
