Ok I am obviously doing something wrong cause 3 dead power supplies seems a little unlikely.
Here's what happened. I ordered a temporary case from ebay while i was saving up for the case i wanted and it turns out I got the wrong form factor. So I caved and bought a new case from my local computer store. Both had a 500W power supply.
So i hooked up everything in the new case, turned it on... No power, the fan in the power supply wasn't even spinning.. I even tried using the reset switch on the case.
So i swapped out power supplies from the uATX case and tried the same thing.. still nothing.
Then I took my old power supply that i knew worked from an old computer i had, and just plugged it in. The light went on, but the fan wasn't spinning..
Any ideas?
