I may be overly cautious, but upon first boot I noticed that the cooler fan was not turning after I plugged it into the mobo CPU fan plug. Concerned that my CPU would burn up, I quickly moved the cable to the power plug. Voila! Fan was turning at high RPM, but at next boot I went into the BIOS and set the CPU Smart Fan Mode to PWM, which is the way the AC 7 is engineered to change fan speed to match heat output. It is working fine now, starting at high RPM for a few seconds on boot and then slowing down after a few seconds. It is working as engineered by AC folks since fan speed does pick up when I stress the CPU.

I am posting this to help relieve anxiety for newbie builders like myself. It got me worried for a few seconds and at my age I don't need the distress. So, why am I building???????

If you're worried that you hurt your CPU, don't. It's fine. Sounds like you got it all sorted out.
