I'd like to thank the creator of this fourm, Rob, and everyone else who helped me understand the fundamentals of computer building. I think I should get a credit or two to go on my transcript, haha. Here it is:

Nice build Jason. I liked the youtube videos.

Looks like you have the two sticks of ram in slots 1 and 2. I think they should be in slots 1 and 3.

rickytick- yeah, i had my ram in 1 & 2, but some guy on youtube told me to change it to 1 & 3, so i did.

mingraphics- if you have two dvd-roms or anything like that with the ide's, don't forget to make one master and slave by moving the little plastic in the back to the correct position. my computer wasn't working properly because of a piece of plastic, lol. my computer also wouldn't work at first boot up until i put the windows vista cd in. so it went vista--bios (set to plug & play)--then update drivers using the cd's. oh yeah... make sure the cpu fan is pinned down tightly to the motherboard. i tried to take my motherboard back out by grabbing the fan and it almost ripped out cuz i didn't have it pinned down properly. big mistake. good luck on your build. :D

oh yeah!!! get the 8800gt 512. it's faster and cheaper.
