First Build, First Boot - Help!

First boot:
mobo light on
case light on
all fans spin, including CPU fan for 1 second only
then everything shuts down.

What to try now? Help (please)

My first guess is that the PSU fan is not plugged in. The 4 pin ATX12V plug that is just above and left of the cpu.

Plugged in the 12V connector and it booted right up. Thanks Chunky!

Now I have to get Vista loaded. First time it made it all the way through to where it does a few reboots and it hung after the second reboot. Second attempt hung while "expanding files". Third attempt made it further then the second but not as far at the first (loaded all the files and started the install but went to a black screen somewhere before the reboots.)

I'll keep trying - it looks like this could be just a Microsoft thing, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure you do a full format of the HD before trying to install. Also, check to see if your disc is scratched/dirty at all.
