I'm going to ask this question in a fictionalized form & hope that I
won't upset anyone, as I'm just seeking information.
Let's say that on Zbay a private seller has a brand new ZYX
motherboard up for auction. Would I need some type of proof-of-
purchase receipt for ZYX to warranty this board in case of defect, in the
event that I may bid on it?
I'm going to call ZYX tomorrow & see what they say, and wondering
if any one here may have had a similar experience.
Thanks in advance.

I've sold a few computer components on zbay, but I've never bought any. Always been leary of what I might get. However, if its sealed in its original packaging, then I guess its ok.

But you question is about warranty. I think if its an EVGA motherboard, then you could register it, and be eligible for warranty options. You might want to go to the website of mobo manufacturer and ask that same question, or look in their FAQ's.
