It has Dual Ethernet jacks, so if you currently have a cable modem you would connect through there. If you mean like a "phone line" modem, then no, it is not built in and you will need one if that is how you connect or if you need to fax or something.

PS, I'm sure you know already but just in case, this is an AMD board that will use an AMD processor.
