Hello, first time builder here.

I saw some other people posting their builds and was hoping I could do the same and get some reviews, opinions, etc.

Case:

PSU:

OR

CPU:
Waiting for the new model quad to come out to see how much it is, or to drop price on old model quad, probably.

As for the Ram I had a question on it I was hoping someone could answer. What is the difference between these two:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145176
and
http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?imodule=bl12864aa1065&pid=862686

Essentially what is the difference, if any, between ballistic ram and non ballistic ram?

As for the other parts like replacement cpu fan, optical drive, other things of importance not listed here I have not looked into that much yet. I have sort of been doing this peice mail when I had free time, so I am totally open to suggestions on those parts as well. I do plan to get vista 64 so as to make use of a 4 gig ram system.

So please post comments, ideas or questions that require clairfication on some thing I might have listed so you can help me better. Also please post if any of these parts will not work together, like I said this was done piece mail and over a few months period of time.

Change the PSU to a Corsair HX520w.

Don't get either Graphics card, get an 8800GT (EVGA one is $249) or an a8800GTS 512mb.

As for your question aout the ram, one runs at 1066Mhz, the other at 800Mhz.

Don't get either, get Corsair XMS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034

As for CPU's, you should be thinking about Intel Wolfdale or the Penryns, and you should get aN Asus P5K-C motherboard.

Although this one seems to be more expensive and have lower numbers as far as I can tell. Like I said however this is my first time so if I am missing something please inform me.

As for the RAM does it come in 4gig(2x2GB) or would I just buy four 1 gig cards (or two sets of two as it were)?

In regards to the CPU those were the ones I was thinking about, but only the dual cord is out in america right now, so I was going to wait a while and see on that.
