Hello,
This is my first time building a pc, and I need to know if my choices have been good ones. I want to keep the price under $1500. It will be used for playing games, listening to music, watching movies, internet, etc. Any advice on my choices would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on using my monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse from my old computer. Please tell me if any of this is incompatible, a bad choice, or if their is something that is cheaper without sacrificing performance. Also, should I go for Vista or is it still too early, and will Vista limit what games I can play because there are games from the the past several years that I missed out on that I want to play. Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Change the PSU to a Corsair HX520w and the memory to Corsair XMS.

You may also want to look at the Antec P182, its basically the replacement for the P180 as it is known to have a few teething problems.

I'll look into it, thanks. Should I go XP or Vista? Also, was this the Corsair XMS you suggested? http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145176

Vista is pretty goo now so stick with that.

This is the memory, look for the 4GB kit.

Thanks for the advice. Do you think I can run crysis on this computer with high settings and do you think I will have any problems playing older games on vista?
