(I know the things about the 4 gigs of ram. I plan on using a 32-bit OS (Windows XP). I heard that pairs of ram is good to install. I want to get as much ram as I could out of it.)

Change the PSU to a Corsair HX520w, same price, much better though.

Change the memory to Corsair XMS, 4GB is a waste on a 32bit OS so stick with 2GB kit (2x1GB), its $37.

The Abit board is superb, but a cheaper alternative is the Asus P5KC, basically the same board and it supports DDR2 and DDR3 memory.

Everything else is ok.

I think I will keep my motherboard because I've heard it has great over clocking abilities.

As for the PSU, if I over clock it will not have enough power to support my system.

The ram is a great alternative (2x1gb) for $37 compared to $100+. However, I want to have at least like 3gb of ram. Is there any way I could do like a 2gb kit and add an extra gb?

More knowledgeable people are free to correct me; I think that XP 32 bit cannot support four Gig, thus the statement that it is a waste to get so much.

Huh?

I was asking if it was possible I could get a (2x1gb) kit. Then I could add an additional gb of ram. Totaling up to 3gb of ram?

There is no point in getting 3GB, you wouldn't notice any difference whatsoever from 2GB, in fact it would probably slow your computer down, 32bit OS were not built for anything more than 2GB.

Like i said the Abit is a good board, but so is the Asus and it is the same if not a better overclocker with DDR3 support for the future.
